sound cards

My computers sound stopped workin~ it said there is a
problem with the sound card~ i have already posted but
could find it osrry if u read this twice~
anyone know how to fix it???
 
What kind of sound card is it? Has it ever worked? Have you checked to
make sure that the card is seated properly in the machine and hasnt been
knocked out? Whats the exact error message?
