First Go to the control Panel in the start menu under settings. Double Click on’ Sounds and Audio devices.’ Look at the top of the Sounds window, it will have a picture of a speaker and next to it will have the name of your sound card. Remember this name.
Now go to the control panel again and double click System. Click the hardware tab. Then click Device manager. Click the plus sign next to ‘Sound, Video and Game controllers’ then in the list of devices you should see your sound card with the name you saw above. Double click on it and then click ‘Troubleshoot’
