I just installed XP Pro. I also installed a second sound
card (manufactured by Digidesign). I use my computer in
my music studio. All of my music programs I use show the
Digidesign sound card in the in each individual sound
card set up page and it works. But when I try to use the
Digidesign card as my primary card it does not show up in
the audio section under the control pannel. If you can
understand this mess I just wrote please contact me.

Is the original card built into the Motherboard? If so, try disabling it
in the BIOS. See MB instructions, or talk with a competent technician.
