Hi, I'm have a Soundblaster Live 5.1 that worked with Vista Beta 2, however
since installing RC 1 I have no sound, I've tried all the solutions I could
find online, does anyone have any other suggestions.

Barring that I would like to know if anyone can tell me a reasonably
inexpensive sound card that works trouble free with Vista

Did you try pointing Vista to scan the drivers directory of your XP (if you
have dual OS).

If not, just try installing XP drivers for the device and see how it goes
(unless you did that already) :)

No I did a clean install of Vista, and I've tried installing the XP drivers,
and extracting them from WinRAR, and modded drivers, nothing working

Hello I have sb live also and downloaded from creative and sound
works fine..other than recorder the livedriveunipack in windows xp(they dont
support vista) Vista isnt any more then a gloryfied xp............Bill needs

When you say "other than recorder" do you mean the mike doesn't work to
record sound? Without my mike, I can't use any of my communications programs
like Skype, Yahoo, etc. to make phone calls. Has ANYONE gotten with Creative
Soundblaster Live gotten their mike to work? Creative says it can't even
detect my card when I try to go to their web site and see what drivers are
available. (I know, they say they aren't going to support Vista for the Live
card...very poor choice!)
