sound card problems

I have just re-installed windows XP pro onto an Acer T660 I just bought
(because of langues issues) but now my sound card doesn't work and I get the
following error: Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000

I found out that some other device is using the ports but I can't find out
what it is and the web help on MSN from the error window was of no help.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance

Looks like you need to install the drivers for your soundcard. They're
probably on one of your utility disks or a separate disk like SB Live, etc.
If you do not have them, access the website of your soundcard manufacturer
and you can download them there, they are free.
