My computer does not have a sound card (no audio output but I do have
speakers) and I need some advice on what to buy. Something to listen to
music mostly but not to complicated to install! Thanks

If you have an available internal PCI slot, the X-Fi series of Creative Labs
cards are very good, and the sale price of the basic X-Fi cards are in the $US
50.00--60.00 range. I find them easy to use and easy to set up using the
downloadable Vista drivers.

If you do not have an internal PCI slot, there are also external USB audio
adapters, but I would be very sure that they have Vista drivers available before
purchasing one.

Hi,
I had problems iwth my Vista installation even though I had onboard sound.
I ended up buying a USB powered sound card off Ebay for would you believe
$7.00
I installed this on a vacant USB connection at the back my computer and
connected my speaker and microphone up to it.
The driver was already on Vista. Just make sure if you do it this way the
USB sound card is Vista compatable. I had a quote from a computer shop to fix
the problem. There way was $400.00.
Hope this is of some help.
Good luck,
Chris
