I went out and bought a new Hard drive and cd/dvd drive for my computer
Once everything was set up and i installed XP on to my computer My soun
card doesn't work now and everything is set up the way it was before
Could it be that the sound blaster 16 sound card doesn't work wit
windows xp?

Sound Blaster 16 sound card is usually a ISA based card and most PNP bios need
to have the standard IRQ 5 reserved for ISA slots.

I don't have the drivers disk anymore. Its pluged in now to the mothe
board and under the Device Manager it doesn't even show up. I als
tried to do windows updates but still nothing.

Unfortunately, there are no Windows XP drivers for the SoundBlaster
16. Creative Labs support for SB16 ended with Windows NT 4.0.

I've had good success with 'after-market' drivers. Search in
Google--you may have to register, but it is free, and may yield a driver
known to work with XP--good site, just don't remember the name. Luck, s
