Sound bites

I have a ppt that on the first slide are several links to other slides. Here
is the problem...If I click on a link on the first page, it goes to that
slide. If I click on the "home" button on the slide, it sends me back to the
first slide. No problems there. The problem occurs when I click on the same
link again, the sound bite on the slide does not start again. Any answers to
this dilemma??
 
The typical solution is to put a blank slide right before the slide with
the sound on it. Have this blank slide automatically transition to the next
slide after 0 seconds. Have all links point to the blank slide.
