Sound and Narration Problem

Hi all,

I'm using PPT 2002. I have a 14 slide presentation that I want to add a
narration to. I decided that I should link the files rather than embed them
and so I saved the presentation to a newly created folder and selected that
same folder for the linked sound files.

I tested the microphone using the wizard and everything checked out, so I
began recording. Ten to 15 minutes later it was complete and I tried to play
it back. I selected SlideShow, View Show and it began. All of the timings on
the slides worked perfectly, but no sound. I looked in the folder and there
are several sound files. I'm not sure what else to do. Help!

Hi

Have you checked that Slide Show-> Set up show->show without narration isn't
ticked?

Can you play the sound files outside PowerPoint? Do you have Media Player 11?
If you do roll back to 10.

Hi Lucy,

Thanks for your reply.

I can play the 14 Wave files independently by double clicking on them when I
find them in Windows Explorer. (They are in the same folder as the PPT
prepsentation.) They play in MediaPlayer 11 (which is the version I have
installed). Does this mean I should roll back to 10 and if so how do I do
that?

Thanks again for your help.

Regards,
Bill

If you are using windows XP: Start->Control Panel-> Add or Remove
Programmes->Scroll down to Windows Media Player 11 -> Remove
Another user said they automatically got Media PLayer 10 after doing this
but if not you can download it from here:
