Sound and Music Problem

Hi, I'm new to the community, so I'm sorry if this question is a repea
of someone else.

For some reason when I insert music or sounds (other than the defaul
sounds) into my powerpoint it shows that they have the length of 0:0
and won't play when I try to play the powerpoint. I've tried messin
around with the different sound options and such, but nothing seems t
change it. It's not just one sound either, it's every one I try t
insert. Hope someone can help. Thanks. :
 
How are you inserting the sounds, and what type of sounds are they
(e.g., MIDI, MP3, WAV)?
 
When I insert the sounds/music I go to Insert>>Sounds and Music>>fro
file. and then I choose the my music file (a .wav file) then after tha
it just sets it as 0:00 and never plays it

Hm. That's odd. Which version of PPT are you using?

Have you set the sound to play using Custom Animation settings? Assuming
so, what have you chosen there?
