Sound and audio devices properties

I had window media player as my default sound and audio device. now I have
Realtek as my default and window media player is not shown as an options and
there fore I can not make it my default device. I have downloaded windows
media twice and each time it states that it will be my default????

Hello, try naviagatng to Start -> All Programs -> Set Program Access and
Defaults. Alternatively it's available from Control Panel -> Add/Remove
Programs.

From here you can select the default media application. If that doesn't do
the job post back.
