SOS just installed XP; Cannot access my Vista

I have just installed another XP on another harddrive. I am used to
access multi XP with minor editing of boot.ini file.
Now I cannot assess my Vista on the C drive
My question is if boot.ini is still an option?
Or how should I edit boot.ini?
Seems the error msg about missing file in system32 ha1.dll.
I am no expert and would appreciate any input.

Here is my boot.ini
[boot loader]
timeout=50
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="XP Professional" /
noexecute=optin /fastdetect

fastdetect

Reboot your PC with the Vista DVD in the drive (set your BIOS to boot from
the cd/dvd drive).
Vista setup will begin, select repair, and then repair start-up. once it's
done (it only takes a few minutes) your machine will boot into vista.
now download and use EasyBCD or Vista Boot Pro, and they will automatically
find other OS on your machine and configure your machine for dual/triple
boot.
