I would like to keep all my mp3s in a single folder instead of having subfolders of artists, subs of albums...
I have over 6000 files. Is this too many for 1 folder or is it better then having 6000+ folders and sub folders..
Am i correct in thinking that all these folders would slow down the registry?
If I can keep them all in 1 folder can anyone recomend the best way to move them?
I'm thinking of doing a search, then selecting all, then edit, Move to...
Thanks all.

I'm in the "Artist\Album\01 - Track Title.mp3" camp. I think it would be way
too slow to have that many files in one folder. Besides, if you use separate
folders you get to see the album artwork on the folders, as long as the album
folder contains the appropriate "Folder.jpg" image. Creating new folders for
every file would be time-consuming, but both RealPlayer 10 and iTunes will do it
automatically provided the files are properly tagged with the artist and album
fields.
