Sorting out duplicate photos

Several years ago(before my computer crashed) I had a program that I
downloaded that sorted my photos and I was able to delete the duplicates..
Does anyone have an idea where I might find such a free program?? Thanks so
much in advance.

Perhaps if you were to put a phrase like "free photo organizer" in your
favorite search engine?
