Sorting Contacts List

How do I sort the Contacts list alphabetically by Category? Once I sort by
Category, the contacts are not listed in alphabetical order within the
categories.
 
Shall we assume you are referring to the "By Category" view in Outlook 2003?
If so, sorting that view is broken. If you sort by name before you group by
category it will retain the alphabetical order.
