Sorting contacts by "file as"

I need to be able to sort my contacts as file as and
can't seem to do this. I have tried to edit the contacts
full name, display as name. But to make it easy for me I
need to sort as file as like I could in outlook 98. Any
one have any suggestions I have a very large contact list
and don't want to rebuild each one.
 
The outlook version my employee is using is 2002 for XP.
He was able to sort by company name and then file as or
nickmname under that in outlook 98, he has over 600 names
imported from there and was wondering if there was an
easy global change or does he have to edit each entry.

You're trying to sort these Contacts in what view? If you need to change the
File As... field globally for existing Contacts it will require code.
