I was told it is possible to group large amounts of text data and total the
number of times this data occurs and create a summaried list of each with a
total. If this is true then how is it done? The data has over 20,000 rows.
What is the best way to add several excel files of data into one spreadsheet?
I am using Excel 2003.

I dont get what you are saying but u can group things using the subtotal
figure in excel hope this helped

The answer definitely depends on the layout of the original spreadsheet.
However, you can group and total the data (either using the SUM or COUNT
functions) by using Subtotals (found under the Data menu).

Essentially, you'll want to sort your data based on the column you want to
group by. Then, choose Data: Subtotals and set your parameters.
