I have a lot of new office people, and new to 2007

My groups are investors, buyers, sellers, realtors, appraisers, mortgagors,
etc.

How would I best sort or setup BCM so everyone can relate?

I would recommend using the Category List options for your contacts. In
Outlook 2007, the Category list has been expanded and merged across all
options (Calendar, Tasks, Contacts, BCM, etc.) so that you use the same list
for them all. That's important to note so that you don't remove the basics,
thinking you do not need them for contacts (such as Anniversary or Travel
Required).

When you are looking at your Business Contacts, you can find the Category
List by right-clicking on any contact, select "Categorize", and "All
Categories" to edit the list (this option also allows you to select those
that don't show up on the drop down due to space restrictions). My
recommendation is to rename the categories that have color names first, then
worry about making New ones if you run out.

After you've done that, you can select multiple contacts at once (using CTRL
while clicking) and apply the categories to those selected with the right
click menu or the drop down icon (four multi-colored squares). After you have
applied the categories to the contacts, you can use the "Current View" on the
left to Sort By Category.

"Customize Current View..." can allow you to make new view options that show
only particular categories, which can be helpful for making things like a
"Buyers Only" or "Sellers Only" view.

I have not been able to make folders to seperate them (others with more
experience may know how, or if, that is possible). If it is possible, it
would have to be done by the administrator of the database - if you're
working with a stand-alone installation and not shared with any other users,
this may be easier for you than my scenerio.

Good Luck!
