sorting a column when there are drop down lists used

I've got a worksheet that uses drop downs for some cells
to control the entry. If I sort the worksheet, the rows
are moved according to the sort sequence. However the
cells that had drop downs no longer have a drop down -
drop downs remain in the exact cell they were originally
placed in and don't move with the row. This doesn't make
sense.

Is there a workaround or a macro that can help?
