A PowerPoint presentation has been created and saved. However, the sorter shows all of the slides as being blank until they are clicked on. Once the slide is clicked on, the graphics of the slide are illustrated. My question is: how do I reverse this effect, so as to make the slide sorter reveal the actual graphics of all of the slides. This is the first time I have ever seen this problem. Any help that anyone could offer would be appreciated

Thanks

Greg

First thing to try is toggling the "show formatting" button on the toolbar.
It's got two As on it.

But based on your description, this sounds almost like a video driver issue.
Try turning down hardware acceleration and maybe updating video drivers.

Thanks for the response. I have PowerPoint SR-97 and I am not working
with a video driver. This issue is occuring with a standard presentation,
not anything special. What else could I do? Please advise.

Did you try toggling the Show Formatting button? That's the first thing to
do. If it doesn't work, try hardware acceleration.

Info for changing Hardware acceleration settings is at
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm Try that next. If that doesn't
work, then try the video driver thing (explained below).

As far as video drivers, unless you booted Windows into Safe Mode, then yes,
you're using a video driver whether you realize it or not. Go to the website
of your computer manufacturer, look up your system, and see if they have any
updated video or graphics drivers available for download and installation.
Try this as the last thing.

Thank you so much. The show formatting button is what was the problem

Thanks for the response. I have PowerPoint SR-97 and I am not working with a video
driver.

PowerPoint needs a computer to run on and computers need video drivers to show
anything on screen. Or to put it a bit differently, wanna bet? ;-)

Yup. You're using video drivers.

But I'd still bet on Echo's first suggestion.

In sorter view, make sure the Standard toolbar's visible (choose View, Toolbars, put a
check next to Standard). The click the A/A button (Show formatting) on the toolbar.

In Slide Sorter view, click on the icon on the toolbar that has a small A
and a large italic underlined A. That icon is called "Show Formatting" and
toggles on and off.
