Sort Order

Hi,

I am trying to change XP SP1 so that it sorts files
correctly (i.e. like Win2000). KB Article 319827 says use
RegEdit and find and modify:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversi
on\Policies\Explorer

This doesn't exist.

There is a ...\CurrentVersion\Policies but no Explorer
below it.

There is a ...\CurrentVersion\Explorer but no Policies
below it.

What am I missing?

Hmmm. Well I tried that. It did not have any effect that
I can see.

Kelly's description says the tweak is for the Open and
Save dialog boxes. They did not change. 1.txt is sorted
before 02.txt. The real thing I wanted was to correct the
order of the listed files in Explorer. That did not
change either (after re-boot). The keys specified in the
KB article are also still not present.

Any suggestions?

wouldn't have bothered you a second time.
