Sort in Swedish, not English

My access copy at work is only in English, and therefore it sorts the Swedish
letter "ö" as "o". I want this letter to be sorted last (like in the Swedish
alphabet). How do I do this?

What version of Access? Prior to Access 2007, you could look on the General
tab after selecting Tools | Options on the menu, and there's an option there
to specify the sort order. Afraid I don't have Access 2007 installed on this
machine, but I'd assume you get to it through the "Office" button in the
upper left-hand corner.

I found "New database sort order:" under the tab "General" in options, and
set it to "Swedish/Finnish", but that didn't make a difference. I restarted
the program, but it still didn't work with "ö", but it sorts other entries,
without "ö". Do I have to make other changes for it to work?

That option works when you create a NEW database. HOWEVER, the help says that
if you change the option and then COMPACT the database the new sort order
should be active.

From Access 2003 Help:
Specify the default language sort order (MDB)
Note The information in this topic applies only to a Microsoft Access
database (.mdb).

On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the General tab.
To specify the default language sort order for a new database, click the
language that you want to use in the New database sort order box.
Note To reset the sort order for an existing database to the language that
you selected in the General tab, compact that database.
