How do I sort my email by multiple columns, for example first sort by name
then by date. Can this be done?

If you first sort by date and then sort by name the result
will be emails sorted by name AND date order.
(descending or ascending)

Actually, that doesn't do it. What you describe, the 2 sorts are
independent. What i want is 1st sort email by name, then for the same same,
then sort by date.

I know in outlook you can sort 1st column, and hold the shift key while you
click on the 2nd column, but that doesn't work for windows mail.

Sorry... don't know then.

How are the emails for the same name sorted if not by date?

It sorts secondarily by subject. I have the same problem as byclue. There
is no obvious way to make it sort first on name and then on date.

What is the arrangement of your columns?

Thanks Ron. That is the solution to the problem. The secondary sort order
is determined by the order of the columns.
