I cannot alphabetize my address book. I have Windows XP Professional and Office 2000. I can change to sort from first to last name and vice-versa but it will not alphabatized first or last names. Example: Dan Jones comes before Bill Adams always

I'm not following what you mean. Post your mail support mode.

Corporate/Workgroup mode:
Tools menu > Services > Highlight the Outlook Address Book service > Click
Properties > Set sort order

Internet Mail Only:
Tools menu > Address Book > View menu > Sort by

I tried that but it doesn't seem to change it. We have a
hub set up. The main computer will not sort but the 2nd
computer using Windows 98 and Office 2000 is capable of
sorting. I am not sure what you mean by "mail support
mode."

Look in line 2 of Help | About to see your mail support mode. Each sorts
differently as I posted earlier.

Okay, Here is what I have done, today and in the past.
We do have the Corporate/Workgroup mode.

Went to Tools menu > Services > Highlighted the Personal
Address book > Clicked Properties > Set sort order
but that doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

Oh good heavens. Are you really using a PAB? It was replaced by the Outlook
Address Book years ago. It can't sort correctly because both first and last
names are stored in the same field. Why don't you migrate to the Outlook
Address Book?
