Hi Irwin :-)
When I start my XP prof, ie6, I go this address

How can I remove this from my start?

You may have a hijacker, malware, spyware or parasites on your system
causing this problem. Thus, in addition to running your updated anti-virus
program, you should do the following to be sure none of these are present on
your system. Although you may have already run one or more of the programs,
please do so again according to the instructions below. Some variants of
malware can replicate themselves over and over if not removed properly.

You might also want to get Art's updater, SYS-UP.Zip, here for future

(If you download and use the updater from the beginning, it will
automatically handle downloading the other files. Place them in a dedicated
folder after appropriate unzipping, and then run. This scan may take a long
time, as Sysclean is VERY extensive and thorough

NOTE: If you can not download these programs from the Internet, if your PC
has CD read capabilities, go to another computer with CD-ROM burning
capabilities. Create a folder on the hard drive of the other computer called
HOLD, download the programs to that folder, then burn that folder to a CD.
Copy the HOLD folder to your HD and then install the programs from there
and run them. After you have IE access again, update all programs where
possible to get the latest definitions and run them again in Safe Mode to be
sure there are no lingering items on the system.

My problem is similar, but I'm confident it has nothing to do with viruses,
etc.
In my office we have 4 desktops and one laptop. The four desktops are on
the network, thus the users are able to access IE, as well as print to our
main printer, scanner....
The laptop was able to access IE on day one - however, not since. The
laptop is the only wireless computer. The Wireless network Connection icon
say strength is very good to excellent, and the status is connected. The
local area connection icon says that A network cable is unplugged. I
understand there are two issues. One is the wireless connection, though
strong and connected, I am unable to access IE. The local connection would
put me in sync with the other computers with IE access and the ability to
connect to the printer. However, I want to remain wireless. At this point,
the ability to reconnect to IE in a wireless manner is most important.
Perhaps I can then figure out how to print to the common printer. Thoughts?

Although your problem may be similar, it is not of the same nature as the
original poster here, and it may in fact cause some confusion in cross
replies of the two issues. May I suggest that instead of popping into
various other peoples posts here and there, that you open a new thread of
your own stating all the specific details to your individual problem. It
would make it easier for those who wish to assist you to keep all the
information in the same thread and see what others have posted for you so
they don't duplicate information, and for you as well, in order to keep
