My joystick wont work. Win xpsp2noviruscurrentupdates.
Logitech extreme 3d pro, usually no driver is needed and windows makes it
work. This is an Unattended installation made by nLite. The ONLY problem is
that Hardware can't find software to make USB root hubs work and it asks for
location of drivers. I direct it to an untouched location, i386, and it
installs USB root hubs and my joystick is recognized but it doesn't work. A
USB printer/scanner works fine on the same OS. Where do I need to focus my
attention with hardware that is recognized but doesn't work? drivers?
Registry?

Did you go to Control Panel, Gaming Devices and choose it from the drop down
menu?

I had to burn another unattended CD and was more careful about what I
removed. Reinstalled XP and the joystick is working fine.
