I didn't fully explain what I meant. This below is the best free
software depository inexistance. Go ahead. Make my day. Prove me
wrong. You won't. It can't be done. It's not that I hate
Pricelessware, it's just it's not good enough. There's a place for
Pricelessware in the world, it's just not here on the same pedestal as
the best. Keep Uselessware hid. Bow your heads in humble adoration.
You are in the presence of the best!

Er... you like Linux then? Just a guess :)

Let's have a vote on who is the biggest turkey to post to this group. First nomination - kcaj.

You might have missed the vote to remove Windows from the PL manifest.
Now, I think the focus is on simply the best freeware, open source, or
whatever.

Maybe you can recommend some of the more outstanding programs to place
in the Linux section.

Well, I find that Sun Freeware <http://www.sunfreeware.com> and
Blastwave <http://www.blastwave.org> are far more useful, and so is Sun
itself, at <http://www.sun.com>.

Too much of the Linux-directed source doesn't quite work (i.e. compile)
on Solaris (and AIX and HP-UX and Tru64), and, frankly, x86 binaries
aren't much use on SPARC (or Power or PA-RISC or Alpha) processors.

I suppose I should list the various sites that have freeware for AIX and
HP-UX and Tru64, but I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader.

I'd mention MacOS, but as I don't use it, I won't.

Cheers,
Gary B-)

You're not the least bit sorry and you're giving Linux users a bad name.
