Hello, I know this is MovieMaker board, but didn't see a spot to post a Sony
movie software question (and there's slight overlap anyway for audio
software since it can be used on any moviemaking). So, wondered if could
just ask for a few brief insights into following....

1) [Sony] Acid MUSIC Studio. What's general difference in this and the
"audio" studio, in layman's terms. When to use which? Got an example of
when MUSIC studio should be used? Thanks.

2) [Sony] Sound Forge AUDIO Studio. What's general difference in this and
the "music" studio, in laymans terms. When to use which? Got an example of
when AUDIO studio should be used? Thanks.

3) [Sony] Vegas Movie Studio+DVD. Anyone actually use (or compared) this to
Windows MovieMaker. Sort of some high level general pro's and con's of each
maybe?

Thanks,
George

On #3... Vegas

when I needed to capture High Definition camcorder files, Movie Maker
couldn't do it, so I used Vegas....
Movie Maker is limited to 2 channel stero audio... Vegas can do sourround
sound
Movie Maker is limite to one video track and one audio track... Vegas can
have many

Movie Maker is an entry level app that is fun to use and can do amazing
things.... Vegas is a step up... I did my high-def work with trial version
of Vegas. Didn't buy it as I do all my work with Movie Maker.

Sony software is good... I'm working on a newsletter about editing the audio
track of a movie from Movie Maker or a story from Photo Story 3. I'm using
Sony's Sound Forge to see what good audio editing software can do, and it
has far exceeeded my expectations.
