Sony VAIO Fn key

I wonder if I could ask a favour? A common fault with Sony VAIOs is the loss
of the Fn key, usually due to overkeen SpyBot activity. SpyBot erases a
programme called "hkserv.exe" even if no virus is present as SpyBot works by
filename only. This hkserv.exe file impossible to download from the
internet, as many have found.

Is there someone who would be willing to copy their hkserv.exe file and
e-mail it to me together with a full path of where to paste it ?

I would be v grateful.

No, I never did find any file. DL (see above) said that no such file exists
and I think he may be right.

I did fix the Fn key, though, by reinstalling all the VAIO utilities
(installation CD or download).

My mistake was that the appropriate utility's title didn't make it sound
relevant to my problem so I ignored it. It was only when I reinstalled ALLl
of them that the Fn key returned.

I hope this answers your question.
