Windows XP Sony related pop up

Can anyone throw some light on a 'Sony UPnP Framework' pop up that appears twice on start up in XP SP1 and now on SP2. Is Lavasoft the issue?
 
Update ALL your drivers ... or dump the Sony. ;)

Download, install and run Everest Home Edition ... it will point you to all your hardware/software updates. :thumb:

Thanks for the response - whilst ditching the laptop may be a little too radical I'm grateful for your other advice - which I'm about to get on with - cheers.
