I see sony where hack again talk about a poor system there running.
even got told there was,nt any Security on people password.

:mad:They have been dam fools after being caught out once, you'd think they would have secured all sites including subsidiaries. Neglence like that they should be taken to court and have a fine big enough to make them think that there will never be a next time.

Still Sony though innit?

Payback for their 101 past misdemeanours if you ask me.

Has anyone on here availed of the free games yet ? I got wipeout HD and the the system locked up on me.

I went for Wipeout HD and some zombie game just a few moments ago and it's downloading now. That said, I got an error message every few mins while browsing the PSN Store - I put it down to being overloaded as it's only just come back online, but I'm not sure what the real reason is.

Yeah i got mine this weekend, Infamous and Ratchet and Clack (for the GF)

Got the error loads, but that is as Ian said, just a 'busy' message. Keep trying and it will work eventually. :)

Yeah, and then they put it on the Pirate bay....

How is that harming Sony?

Sony's password reset system for the restored PlayStation Network, which was taken down by hackers last month and has only recently returned to full functionality, has been revealed to have further vulnerabilities of its own.

Sony has been forced to take down some websites in order to fix the vulnerability, which could allow hackers to change users' passwords and gain access to their accounts.

Am not sure what your refering to V_R. I'm just posting bits of info as I come across em.

Nintendo has confirmed that its US website has been hacked. A group called Lulz Security, or LulzSec, gained access to one of the site's servers, copying and then publishing a configuration file.

I ain't sure what this LulzSec group are up to but I recon it has more to do with anarchy than criminality.

Hey, I'm getting confused here

Wot's going on? :fool:

All I know is that any company that promises the purchaser he can use an independent OS such as a Linux Distro on their new PS3 and then forces the purchaser to install compulsory firmware that disables that facility deserves anything bad that comes their way.

Their arrogance, greed and paranoia, hopefully, will be their downfall.

In reserve I have a list of other stuff Sony have been guilty of but I'm sure most of you are aware of them anyway.

My sympathy does go out to PS3 users, it's a fine machine with some excellent games but Sony as a corporation can go jump in the lake.

god know why they put them on torrent site.

why did,nt they just show them how poor of a company they are

i would get a refund from them and remove myself.they have a court case next with a fine.should,nt bother them there a rich company

Infamous is good as is the ratchet and clank game....my nephew has it.
As i said earlier i took wipeout but i haven't taken the second free game yet but the access to the free games is gone. I also got playstation plus free for 30 days and downloaded burnout paradise. I will report back as to how the games go.

see Codemasters.com have been hacked aswell

what going on with these company?

this is bad for them with people password, etc

but codemaster did say sorry not like joke of a firm sony who did,nt

Ah, but the Sony Suit bowed deeper, so feel good about that :)

Codemasters' response has been considerably more dignified than Sony's.

In my opinion I could understand why Sony were targetted but cannot fathom who would want to hit Codemasters, that seems purely malicious.

Still, it's a sick old world and there's a couple of dozen anti-virus software writing companies making their living from that malicioussness
