When using DLA to write DVDs, the computer crashes when either the "Make
compatible" option is chosen, the "Eject" option is chosen or the eject
button is touched. Any fixes?

The files are actually written and can be read in other drives.

Have you every checked for updates to this DLA software?

Have you considered trying a different writing software?

I contacted Sony... no new firmware available. They suggested usable media
(most not even their own brand), which we bought and will see if this makes a
difference. They also suggested using the Nero burning software that came
with the drive, but since this is not my computer (but my boss's), I need to
find the easiest method of solving the problem that does not involve his
doing anything different than he normally does.

Also, I don't believe the "Make compatible" and "Eject" commands have
anything to do with the hardware... I think they're a part of Windows XP. The
drive does write the files to the DVDs correctly though. It's just the
crashing that's bothersome.
