sony digital camera not recognized

I have a sony dsc-p51 digital camera and it is not opening
up on my side of the computer. I have two log ons one is
mine and the other is my hubby's. It works fine on his
side, we are both administrators with the same policies
and rights. Why cant I open up the camera photos? I have
windows xp Pro.

Put the Sony software in the shared program folder.
