I'm using what I think the latest version is
http://sony.storagesupport.com/cdrw/cdextreme.htm

and the latest praxis engine
http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm

This software works like a charm on my Pioneer 104 2x dvd +/-rw. It
fails miserable on my new nec 2500 A. The failure is it thinks the
drive is a cd rw. Now nero and copytodvd both recognize it as a dvd.

What I want to do is burn DVD data disks (I've burned over 170 without
on coaster on Rietek media with the Pioneer 104 and sony cdextreme at
2x W). On occasion, I burn a video cd., which is why I bought
copytodvd to go along with the freeware dvdshrink

I'm loathe to give up sony cd extreme, it has workewd so well. Anyone
use it with one of the later pioneer versions ( i used it with pioneer
104)

Is there any freeware dvd burner? Anyone try burnatonce for DVDs? You
can get a freee license (individuals) . Anyone try it with the Nec
2500 a?

system: 2600+ athalon, nvidia nforce mb , 1 G DDR dual channel ram ,
W2K sp4 OS

You could try DeepBurner, also freeware, looks very promising. I would use
it myself if it supported CD Copy.

Thanks I'll give it a try.
