I have a Sony DVD203E and cannot edit via the camera. I would like to import
the DVD onfinalised mini disc to Movie Maker but have so far failed. The Sony
programme will not allow transfer. Is there any way round this problem?. My
computer is XP. Pedro

Hello,
I have a Sony DCR-SR35 camcorder HDD. I have always used Movie Maker with
my old JVC cam corder but cannot seem to transfer movies from the Sony. I
saw you answer to the previous question but do not really understand it.
Can I save as my video and then transfer to movie maker? I have tried this
with not success. Or can I purchase a software programme that will do all
the things movie maker does but to suit the Sony. The software supplied with
the camcorder only seems to allow you to edit clips but not add music,
transitions and titles etc.
I hope you can give me some advise as my hd is filling up and I want to make
some movies.
Thanks Lynda

If you remove the DVD from your Camcorder and
place it in the DVD drive on your Computer...can
you access the files?

Movie maker does not accept mpeg2 files that you have on the dvd.
Movie maker does not accept mpeg2 files that you have on the dvd
Do you mean you want to import the UNfinalised disc
If so, you can't you need to finalise before working with the files
Use windows media encder to convert the mpegs to wmv and import these into
MM

FWIW...it's always best if you describe your own
issues and provide as many details as you can.

OK...you have a hard drive camcorder?

Can you connect to your computer and download
the video files to a folder on your hard drive?
