Sonic Record Now Disabled DVD Drive in RC2

I had a DVD from HP that includes Sonic Record Now Version 7. Works fine in
Windows XP. I decided to try and install in RC2. When I restarted my
computer it completely disabled from internal and external dvd drive. I
tried uninstalling the program and it removed it. RC2 always said drive is
not installed. I tried uninstalling the drives in the device manager. When I
cold booted RC2 still would not install. Finally I did a system restore and
it fixed the problem minus the program.
