Sometimes the images are on a web page just fin
Sometimes I go to the next webpage and the graphics are all broke

This is for almost 50% of the web pages that I go to so I am fairly sure that ALL of the websites do not have broken image files

It appears that if a webpage has a frame/menu bar then the images are ALWAYS broken

Cleared cach
Cleared histor
Deleted temp pages folde
Restarte

Nothing.....and it is consistent for the past several months

Any thoughts?

i've same problem to, but not all images just a little.

when i use external javascript/php for banner rotation,
the image not shown..

and also <img src... in my website not show

anyone help me??

Please don't post 'me too' messages. You cause a delay in responses because
we assume that a reply is a fix, not a commiseration. Questions with no
replies at all get priority.

I have had the problem for a while

Symptoms:
Some images (gif, jpg, png) are not being displayed on the browser
The images may be coming from the local host, so it would not appear to
be network related
The success/failure of the display appears to be random
It appears to hang the display of other IE windows, Outlook and Outlook
Express for about a minute, and then continues

Diagnosis

I tried all the suggestions around this discussion group to no avail, Spybot
and Adaware reported a clean system, I cleaned out the cache etc

I found that other user accounts on the same machine did not have the
problem, so it must be something to do with the user account settings

I tried creating a test user and copying the user file system to the new
account. Not able to reproduce the problem

I then tried removing candidate directories from the user registry. Backing
up the directory first in case it needed to be restored

I found the key "HKCU\Software\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" had
a lot of goop in it. I noticed that the ZoneMap had a lot of entries that
related to sites that I had never visited, not sure if it was the trouble.

In any case I trashed this registry key and guess what?

It is now working perfectly, well I have tested against every site in my
favourites list for about 30 mins and have not had a problem

I would like to spend the time to narrow down the search, but work is
pressing.

I still have a backup of the offending registry directory if anyone wants to
persue
