Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help. I have a home network setup
using a snapgear vpn router to access my wireless isp. The
router assigns all of the network address and has been
working fine for the past few months. 1 of my Xp machines
seems to be having problems with the following -
1.When d/l files from the net and selecting the "Save As"
option, it brings up the d/l screen, but then freezes. I
cannot even get rid of the d/l screen using task manager.
It also cuases me to lose the task bar and my normal
desktop is just a blue background, without being able to
access anything else.
2. When trying to access any of the shared
directories/files on any of the other machines, it does
the same thing. It just sits there frozen with "not
responding" error coming up when I try to close it down.
The interesting thing is that I can still access this
machines shared files/folders from the other machines.
So I assume it is going to be some sort of problem with XP
on this machine, or could it be a firewall causing the
machine not to see networked pc's.
Any suggestions?
I have also tried a XP repair, which didn't work either.
Thanks
