Something wrong with search folder and folder icons

Shell folders are displayed with the standard folder icon in Windows Vista:

how do I fix my search folders only search everywhere works the others say
somethings wrong with them

Can you list out the steps you're using to launch search? Is this happening
when you use F3 from the desktop?

whenever I click on the search's on the left side like in the picture it hapens
f3 works but the others don't search everywhere works and indexed locations
works but all others get that message

I cannot find a way to create a new folder. I have none so far. Can anyone
help?

Right-click on the Desktop (or an empty area on a folder) and click New,
Folder.
