something wrong when installing cf 2sp

i hava a vs2005 on my computer, when i download a compact framework 2sp1 and
install it, a dialog pops up telling me i have installed another version of
this product, and the installation failed, the same thing happens when i
installed sp2. i search the web and knew the language may matter, but the
vs2005 on my computer and the sp which downloaded from ms webpage are all
english, the windows xp on my computer is chinese, does it matter? or any
other thing is wrong?
