I installed the SpyWare beta today and had some very
unpredictable results. It detected Kazaa as a moderate
threat, which I expected, so I used Quarantine. Turns
out, the software quarantined EVERYTHING in my Kazaa
folder, including all my music. I was able to somehow
restore all the files out of the program (the restore
points don't seem to be as intuitive or effective as
those in the XP OS). Everything was good until I rebooted
my system. When it came back up, all my Kazaa stuff,
including the MP3s in the folders, were gone. Not good. I
hope that this gets to the MS product people. You need an
idiot-proof restore capability so that when unintended
consequences happen, it's easy to get everything back.
Other than that, i really like the product.
Thanks
