After dropping his coffee! on the keyboard my brother tried to clean it.But
now some keys don't work as they should. For example when I type "r" it shows
"+r" or when I type 1 it shows 12345 together!
Is there any way to bring the keyboard at the old condition?

The keyboard is in PS/2.

You would have to take the keybd appart and clean with fresh/distilled water
& thoroughly blow dry before reassembling & testing

Coffee is quite corrosive. It may be possible to repair, but it is
faster, easier and cheaper to simply replace the keyboard.

Trust me, Coke (of the non-diet variety) is worse, partly due to the phosphoric
acid, but mostly if the user concerned doesn't make any attempt to clean up the
mess, and also doesn't tell I.T. about the incendent until after the easter
weekend, by which time, the resulting sticky ooze has glued the keyboard to the
desk with all the force of grandma's weapons-grade toffee.

Time to go out and buy yourself an 1980's vintage IBM Model M keyboard, if you
can get one, and if you don't like it, someone in IT will definitely want to
swap their keyboard for that, and will probably put paper in your printer, press
the 'any key', and turn up the brightness on the monitor free of charge next time.

If you really want to make a last-ditch effort, you could try the
dishwasher gambit: top rack, face down, no detergent, air dry. Allow to
dry face down on a folded towel for 2-3 days before attempting to use it
again. This worked for me following the Orange Juice Incident (two
suspects, no witnesses, no confession, case remains open).
