Something is changing default page in IE 6

I am having a problem and need a little help. Something
is automatically resetting my default page in IE 6. It
seems to occur everytime I restart IE. I have looked, but
can not find any new programs/scripts that may be causing
this. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Some viruses exhibit this kind of behavior. Java_BTVERIFY.A is one that
springs to mind. Your IE start page can be affected by the registry if I
recall correctly and that's one thing this particular virus does.

I'd suggest doing a full virus scan on the affected computer using a product
with up to date pattern files. I use Trend Micro myself. A free online
scanner is available at their website. www.antivirus.com

First eliminate any scumware.
