anyone know what would be causing this? A favorites folder keeps showing up
in my favorites folder. I have deleted it repeatedly and cannot figure out
how it keeps coming back.

Hi noahc :-)

Without knowing what the name of the folder is or what version of Windows
you are using, I can only suggest that it is some form of malware. Thus,
you might try the following and see if it helps:

What You Should Know About Spyware

It might also be that the Favorites folder has been corrupted.

Before doing so, you should create a new folder on your desktop called
FavBackup, and copy all your favorites into that folder as a backup.

Then do the following:

Create a new Favorites folder as per the instructions here.

(Note: There are other items here that might also apply)

If you can not delete the folder from the Windows Explorer, then you will
need to manually delete the Favorites folder from the Safe Mode:

A Description of the Safe Mode Boot Options in Windows XP
This article discusses the several Safe Boot options that Windows supports.
These options load a minimal set of drivers. You can use these options to
start Windows so that you can modify the registry or load or remove drivers.

Hope this helps

It's a folder called "favorites" inside the favorites folder. I will try
making a new one. Already ran Spybot and Ad Aware. Thanks.
