something causes delay of internet page

I use WinXP with IE6.

After turning on my computer each day, any webpage I open for the first time
open very slowly now. After that they seem to smooth out and open normal.
This still occurs after I do extensive cleaning such as virus check,
AdAware, windows cleaner, cookies deleted, temp files deleted, etc.

Please advise as what I can do further.

First thing I would do would be to totally delete the Temporary Internet
Files and History *folders* from the user account with the issue:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm
That would get the bloating super-hidden index.dat files within those
folders.
