SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

OK WHEN I DOWNLOAD CERTAIN FILES LIKE MSN MESSENGER, THE LATEST VERSION OR WHEN I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM TO MY PC...IT WILL DOWNLOAD, BUT WHEN I GO TO OPEN THE FILE I GET THE MESSAGE THAT IT IS NOT A VALID WIN32 APPLICATION...OK I HAVE WINDOWS XP AND I DOWNLOAD FROM THE RIGHT FILE..I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

There are 2 things that are the normal cause of this error
1. You are attempting to install a 64 bit version on a 32 bit
computer
2. Bad download, downloads are often corrupted by antivirus and other
applications.
Disable antivirus and other unnecessary applications before
downloading.
