Someone from Microsoft needs to tell me how to remove this beast!

I am serious. I want step by step instructions for removing Windows Defender
from my system when its not in my add/remove program list.
I had an original post on the "application failed to initialize" business
and was told to reinstall. I tried and that failed with a "fatal error". I
was then asked to go and get the msi cleanup utilty; which removed defender
from add/remove programs but I still cannot remove it. The dll's are locked,
the registry is locked. The only thing I have been able to do is to disable
the service.

Please tell me how to remove this thing from my system completey.
I will give it another go when its more stable.

help.

Microsoft may or may not answer.
Since it is Beta, everything you do is at your own risk, that is one reason
why it is Beta.

Have you tried installing then uninstalling?
That is a common first step when a program does not have the proper
uninstall files.

If you know exactly which files to remove use Unlocker.
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

You can then r-click on any locked file and click "Unlocker" select "Delete"
click "Ok". problem solved.
as for left over registry entries you could try a regestry cleaner, IE
EasyCleaner http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/
or RegCleaner/Jv16 Power Tools http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/ )

NOTE: registry cleaner's are use at your own risk type of software, keep a
recient backup of the registry before cleaning.
