Some Web Pages Won't Go Away!

I just inherited a computer from my brother and there are
are some inappropriate web pages that automatically pop
up when I begin typing www....in the URL bar.

For example, www.msn.com and www.janieandjack.com, appear
on the drop down menu whenever I start typing in www.m
and www.j. I have cleared every history I can find,
uninstalled IE 6.0, reinstalled it, etc.

Any idea why certain URL's simply won't go away? They do
not exist in my History area, I've deleted all Temporary
Internet Files, etc.

Just wondering...next step is to format the hard drive
and reload everything.

Remove them with MRU-Blaster:

Start, Settings, TaskBar and Start menu, Advanced, Clear
Button.
