Hi,

1) I wonder if there is a way to increase the registry size? My registry
size is now about 15,7 MB.
2) Where in the registry can i set the value "Adjust for best performance"
(like in 'control panel')
3) Another problem is the startup and shutdown that takes a lot of time.

Does anyone have a solution for those problems?
Does anyone have other solutions to speed up XPe?

Thanks,
An

Why do you want to increase registry size?

Try removing Windows XP Visual Style component.
This will remove some of the settings, and you will be closer to what you
need.
And then you can use regmon in standard XP and track other values in
registry that need to be changed.

There is no solution.
But the more thing you remove fasted XPE will start (if there are no runtime
dependencies that will slow it down.)
Use minlogon (you wont have problems with visual appearances, there are
none)
Use bootvis tool to see what make your XPE start long.

Hi An,

I was wrong with my first answer, not having XP Visual Style is not enough
to remove most of animation features ( I saw some animated tooltips in our
image few days ago).

Answer to 2.

Set: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\UserPreferencesMask REG_BINARY
90 12 00 80

You can find this and change it in component Win32 API - User.

Also there are other values that you might be interested in.
