Hi Faculties,
Recently my system which was earlier working as a workgroup has
been shifted to a domain. Now when i login to the domain, some programs
like SQL*Plus or SQL Server are not accessible.

When i check the drive on which these program files are installed, i
even cant access the folders containing these executable files. The
error message shows "Access Denied".

Now when i log in locally everthing works fine. I've Simple File
Sharing already disabled. So i guess that is not the root of this
problem. Is this problem due to the change from workgroup to domain?

Thanks in advance
Jackal

The problem is indirectly due to the shift to domain.

It seems the user you log in locally with has more rights/permissions than
the domain user. If you put the domain user in the same groups (local) as
the local user is - everything will work fine. The other option is to
change the files/folders so that the domain user has permissions to use
those.
